I am a PhD candidate of Mechanical Engineering at Boston University. My research focuses on algorithm development for the problem of Protein Docking. Primarily, I am developing algorithms for local optimization methods that exploit the special structure of the search space (rigid/flexible body movement), namely Manifold Optimization. The other research direction that I've been working on is to incorporate experimental data, such as Small Angle X-ray Scattering(SAXS), for improving accuracy of the scoring functions used in Protein Docking . I am also interested in using Supervised Learning classification algorithms to gain more insight into what the dominant driving scoring functions are for different types of complexes.
